Like may fathers in many homes in America, Patrick Connolly left for work before his kids got up. Unlike many fathers, Patrick Connolly took the time every morning to share his thoughts and love in a note to his boys. Some are funny, some tender, some instructive - together they create a special legacy of caring, made all the more moving because they are published posthumously. Connolly died in 1984 at the age of 41.
