Tara travels to Browning City, Iowa by Stagecoach from Boston in 1870 in search of Gold mentioned in her Aunt Rachel's journals. She wants to follow in the footsteps of her Aunt who was a Civil war spy and her parents who helped run the Underground railroad. She wants to feel she does something valuable with her life.

Tara finds Iowa is MUCH different than the city life she is used to. I enjoyed reading this book. I like books set in a historical setting.
