The previous books in the Secrets and Legends series introduced the reader to the Branchs. Hiltons betrayal and the struggles it caused his wife and four children. Barts story is told much later in Right Before His Eyes: End Of The Line by Abby Gaines. The secrets continue in this series with Checkered Past where we meet another Matheson brother. Chad was first introduced in Back On Track.
