After reading three fairly intense books in a row, this was light and easy on the brain. Lily Connor is introduced as a pushing forty single, Episcopal priest who is assigned to a wealthy parish in Boston whose former priest died under suspicious circumstanses.

As Lily uncovers the secrets and spiritual needs of the parish, she also learns much about her own. The intertwining of lives and politics of the church are two topics that author, Michelle Blake, covers with knowledge and sensitivity. Published in 1999, THE TENTMAKER covers religious and social concerns with a light hand.

I would classify this book as a "cozy" and suspect most will find it an enjoyable read.
