Excellent book! Maggie is the most sweet, compassionate heroine. She leaves her elderly uncle and his ragtag group of old friends to marry Todd and care for his ailing mother who is anything but sweet and compassionate. The clash of cultures was interesting to read about...how different cultures do things and how passionate they are about it. Todd and his mother can't stand Maggie's bartering but Todd eventually sees the neccesity for it and gets into it himself. There were some interesting characters in the book as well. I would love to read a book about John and Linette.(hint,hint Cathy)
Also, the book is set in Gooding,Texas and the characters from the Only in Gooding series are in this book as well. I love it when an author incorporates characters from other books into their stories. This is truely a wonderful book!
