Guide Me Home is a satisfying conclusion to an excellent trilogy. The mystery of what happened to a Black girl who disappears from an otherwise white sorority feels secondary to the continued evolution of the series main character of Darren Mathews. Darren reckons with his mother and their fractured relationship, estrangement from the uncle who raised him, alcoholism, and the threat of a grand jury indictment..... all while living as a Black man in Abbott's Texas in Trump's America.
