Reefs, an excellent part of a great series., December 28, 1999
Reviewer: Tom Jolly (Santa Maria, CA USA)

Reefs is just a part of an incredibly good series about the life and adventures of a kid/adult who can teleport stuff with his mind, one of a group of people who make a living doing this, even mundane functions such as cargo shipping. The character is very well developed, as is the technology and physics of teleportation, but the adventure and action is what carries the story. This is a series of 4 books with the 5th on the way (Plains) which I've been waiting about 10 years to see, and I'm still waiting. There are plenty of loose ends from book 4 to tie up.

I liked this for its humor and adventure., June 20, 1999

I have read the first three books of this series of which Reefs is the second. The hero is both believable and fallible, and the author creates aliens who have motives that are different from anything human but are very creative and also believable. The different beings and their home worlds are well thought out which adds to the flavor, you can almost see the worlds and their people. I have also liked most of the books by this author.
