Jack Caffery must find a dangerous mental patient on the looseâbefore he can kill again. Set in a high-security mental hospital where the patients are afraid of a spirit called The Maude. Is Maude a spirit or a homicidal patient who was released back into the public in error?
But what Caffery discovers about former patient Isaac Handel is beyond anyone's imagining.
Slow start but picks up towards the end. Short chapters make for fast-pace. Dual Points of View, Caffery and A.J. LeGrande, head nurse. Not my favorite Mo Hayder book but still a good one. Looking forward to reading last book, Wolf and recommend this book for those who enjoy mystery/thrillers.
