Ever since his mom died, Kevin Corbett and his dad have been on the move. Six months here, three months there. Now Kevin's found a place he really likes, and his dad wants to move again.

Unexpectedly, Kevin gets help from his arch-enemy Bailey--who is not impressed that he eats dead flies, and who bets him five bucks he couldn't chew and eat the class goldfish after it dies.

But Bailey understands what Kevin's going through. So she hatches a plan to make Mr. Corbett want to stay put.

"He's sad because your mom died," she says. "He needs another interest."

A fine idea, except Bailey intends to fix Mr. Corbett up with Miss Holt--Kevin's teacher!
