Well, I'm a feminist ... so, of course, people are going to expect my dislike of this book. I did give it only half a star, but probably not for the reasons expected. It seemed to me like the author took generalizations and stereotypes about feminists and argued against those. Which, to me, seemed pointless. I'm a feminist, and yet I have NEVER been "anti-male." I believe in equality for all people. We're all humans first, before we divide into genders.
The backlash against feminism and the reason why it's practically become a dirty word is mainly due to media. Something which the author clearly buys into. We don't burn bras, we don't hate men, we don't sit around plotting to take over the word and creating a system of matriarchy, and we certainly have not ruined schools, families, military, or sports.
I'd skip over this book, as it doesn't present a fair/objective view of feminism.
