I love all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books. However, Acheron's story left me confused and a little irritated. It is hard to believe that he becomes the strong and compassionate character that is presented to us in the previous books. Because his life begins so rough and cruel, he is weak and even at times pathitic. Then when the story is brought to the present day the romance part happens way to fast and leaves one wanting more. I agree that Acheron's story needed to be told, however maybe the romance side of his story could have been saved for another book and the development of his change in character examined a little bit more.
