A young artist survives a failing marriage. Now, on her own, she struggles to make a living. A brief affair leaves her expecting a child. This story drags on until SUMMER'S END. I wanted to tell the heroine to get her act together. But, this story is about growing up and assuming responsibility. Not a bad story just not one of the author's best, in my opinion. There is a moral to the tale and as the plot thickens the storyline is a bit more believable. By the time I was half done with the book I was actually enjoying the conflicts between the characters. Good bedtime story-parts of it will put you to sleep. The determination of the young gentleman is what redeems this book. He is a definite keeper.
