MIDNIGHT MADNESS - Karen Kendall's AFTER HOURS trilogy/mini-series, Book #2
When hairdresser Marly Fine is brought in to cut the hair of John Hammersmith, aka The Hammer, Florida's Republican governor, she tries to keep her cool. It's great publicity, even if his politics make her cringe. When he insists she's the one for him, she doesn't believe it, but she does find him as charming and persuasive personally as he is politically. But complications arise when it becomes clear that his advisers and father have picked out the woman he's to marry -- and it isn't Marly.
Midnight Madness, by Karen Kendall, is a fun, totally silly and unbelievable book. The political theme, strangely serious in this light romance, highlights their differences.
Note: After Hours #1: MIDNIGHT OIL, After Hours #2: MIDNIGHT MADNESS, After Hours #3: MIDNIGHT TOUCH
