Collette, a young Egyptian girl, returns to Paris where she lives with her grandparents, and at times with her mother. Collette notices the difference from the pleasant atmosphere of her Egyptian grandparents versus the atmosphere of her Parisian grandmother. While both grandparents are different, Collete adjusts, learning from both experiences in life. Collette travels back and forth from both Egypt and Paris, is adventurous as she spends time in different cultures. After spending time with the family chef, Collette realizes her love of food; shares many of her favorite recipes throughout book. A great, fun read.
