An okay Read, I guess. Not nearly as good as I'd hoped after reading about it in RT magazine, though. And reading this was not an experience I'd like to relive. But having read truly bad books before, I can't call this horrible.

It's supposedly romantic suspense, but reads more like a suspense with romantic elements... though said elements aren't terribly romantic... There are a few sex scenes, and they're okay too... not great, but not awful either.

And the suspense while plentiful, was dull... dull, dull, DULL.

No edge of your seat, can't wait to see what happpens next action here....It was so slow moving I had to push myself to finish it! I couldn't bring myself to care about neither the killer getting caught nor the H and h getting together. or about the secondary character's who's points of view are littered throughout the story, but don't serve any real purpose.

and while I've never read one, I think this may read a bit like a police procedural....A very slow one. The story was a bit more realistic then I usually see though. And the heroine was capable and intelligent... and didn't lose her focus or her smarts as soon as she meets the Hero, so that's always nice...

But I can't say this is worth a whole credit.

And the blurb about the author, says LP writes romantic comedies... Frankly, I can't see it. I may try one (a long time from now) just to see if it's any better, but I'm not expecting much, especially, if this is anything to go by.
