This was a pretty good book. Byrne, who at the time of publishing this novel was the writer for the Wonder Woman comic book, pits Diana against a fanatical televangilist over her religion. The story has you thinking about what the world's reaction would be, on a religious level, if we did have a "superhero" walking around that believed in a different form of God than the masses. Would we turn on this person that has done so much good in the world because he or she believes differently than us? After hearing and reading a lot of theological and theosophical discussions over my many years, I would say yes we would. Byrne has an interesting way of calming the frenzied storm in the end. He definitely showed a darker side to man concerning their beliefs. How a person can twist words around to make you see what they want you to see, to make even a superhero into an evil person. If you are a fan of Wonder Woman, then pick this up.
