Book Review of Classic Cars: The World's Greatest Marques

Classic Cars: The World's Greatest Marques
reviewed A guide to some of the most famous and desirable automobiles of the last 80 years on

This is the type of guidebook I would have killed for when I was 13. It's not for the serious scholar or collector of automobilia, but it is a worthy introduction into the history of classic cars for the neophyte. Ranging from the Amphicar to the Willys Jeep, from the AC Cobra to the VW Beetle, it will stimulate the minds of boys (and older boys who like such toys)everywhere.

Seventy-five cars are profiled, with front, back and side views, an in-depth history, and technical specifications. There are classics from every era and country to stir the imagination and ignite a passion for motoring.

Written by lifelong car enthusiast Richard Gunn, editor of Classic Car Weekly, it would make a fine gift for that young man in your life.
