Hannah Barlow was a cop for eleven years. But finally she couldn't handle what happened to some of the victims. So she quit and entered law school, knowing it would be easier.

Boy, was she wrong.

Now her moot-court partner is dead, murdered she believes, leaving her facing a charge of plagiarism. To defend herself she has to become a 'cop' again, but the number of possible suspects multiply faster than her legal homework.

It's an interesting mystery with a different twist---a law-school student/detective. I think some of the situations our heroine found herself in might have been implausible if not for her previous career. Most of my friends who were law students gave me the impression law school was three years of boring work. Our heroine dispels this notion. Still, the most interesting characters were the boy who loved trains and Hannah's male student 'friend' who was a great cook.
