This book by the suffragist leader Elizabeth Cady Stanton and a group she worked with is a commentary on how the Bible - old and new Testaments - treats women, from Eve on, and how the Bible has been used to justify women's repression. This edition, from the Seattle Coalition on Women and Religion, also contains texts from meetings of various suffragist organizations of the times, either adopting or eschewing the book, as well as many prefaces from members of the Seattle Coalition on Women and Religion.
