I have been a fan of Shawn Colvin's for years, so very much enjoyed this book. She talks about her childhood, rise to commercial success, and the people she meets along the way. She speaks candidly of her struggles with alcoholism, mental illness, and relationships with men, but ultimately shows that life's challenges can be channeled into something very positive like music.
