Gena Showalter is a genius. In her first installment of the Lords of The Underworld series, Maddox is possessed by the demon of violence. Cursed forever to relive the violence he exuded upon Pandora when him and his warrior companions decided to open the illustrious forbidden box.

Maddox now cursed for all eternity to control his demon must die every night as Pandora did, a painful, violent death. But one day, Maddox meets a girl circling in the woods, could this female be "bait" to lead the warrior to defeat?

Ashlyn is not immortal, but she does have her own kind of demon, she can hear things, hear every conversation that ever took place within a vicinity all at once. She seeks to rid herself of these voices, or to atleast control them. She travels to the place of the "angels" or so the voices have said, "angels with supernatural powers". Stubbling through the woods Maddox comes upon her, and at once, the voices stop... could Maddox, Immortal warrior and carrier of violence be her one ticket away from her own demons and could Ashlyn somehow be Maddox's own savior from his eternal pain and suffering?
