I've read all of Anne Perry's books and loved them. Especially her Christmas journals, the William Monk and Inspector Pitt series. But this is the only book I had a hard time getting into and would put it aside to read others and did not finish it. I guess it was just me...I'm not into mystical, Tolkien type stories. My pen-pal loved it...what can I say.
