Don't expect much introspection or snappy dialogue. Just enjoy the accelleration and G-forces as the action take off and the plot dodges, ducks, and spins through Grimm City. I really enjoyed the story and the cast of characters. Although the narrative switches points of view A LOT but some are interesting (baby to Devil?).
The city is one heck of an urban scene, and it really doesn't matter you don't get the guest tour of Grimm City, just a few of the seedier spots as the story action drops by. You will be busy trying to keep up with the action and plot developments. Subtle this is not.
Lasly, The characters are interesting stereotypes of those found in most urban fantasy, and even more familiar once you get a look at the Grimm Bro. stories used - like "Oh! That's who the dwarf's based on!" And I wonder if anybody named Tod know the meaning of their name :-)
One thing for the two writers or the editor ... They either need to blend better or figure out smoother transitions.
