When you say, I DO, you hope that it is for life
Really never wanted this day to come because I don’t believe in Divorce
But can’t live with her any more and having to deal with the remorse.
Sitting in the court room, dividing materials as if, they are the last, but they are not
What is not material but the most important items are “Our Children”,
With the courts settling, the decision of who gets them,
She will now get, little time, to watch them grow
In my heart, I had to do that which is best for the kids & me.
The remorse of the non-feelings, she has put between all of us….
Finally that day has come, when the judge tells us, it’s over
I now have permanent custody of them, to share my love
What a relief to know that I have “WON”
But overall, have I WON! Yes, I got the kids

But they are without their mom….

If this is the way things are supposed to be, why do I feel more alone now, then ever before.
With time the healing will come, but overall, this was for the BEST!

I like the descriptive way you write. I enjoy reading your work, it's different everytime and we never know how we'll feel after.

I know the feeling well. You captured a lot of parents feelings.
