  You walk a maze
always twisting and turning
looking through a haze
of stratagies and learning

Never sure when the end is near
not ready for what's ahead
running from all you fear
fighting the road you tread

As the path turns yonder
never straying from route
of the future they ponder
in fear and in doubt

Knowing truth's path
you choose the easy way
never knowing wrath
until that very day

I ask, what is the pay
as the road does wane
what is there to say
but all was in vain
