  I know you...I've seen you
I believe we shared a moment or two
I watched you enter the room and pull up a chair
Your motions poetic...perfect.
Then you smiled at me...perfect
Said you would be there for me whenever for whatever.
Safety, security, comfort, honesty and trust
I was content so I thought "what could be more
Perfect?"
It began to rain. All that seemed to be perfect
wasn't
Lies and deceipt fell like raindrops from behind
lips, teeth, cheek and tongue that were
perfect
rhythmic with mine in sync aligned agreed and encouraged
my hopes, dreams and most inner thoughts
distorted
Don't ask me when it was that love first appeared.
Promises...perfect promises broken
You meant the world to me...
Perfection Lost.
