PLEASE COMMENT! You know when they are about to fight. Having four kids, there is an unusual silence in the house. No playing, breath taking silence. Dad watches T.V. Mom does dishes. We sit. Silently. So silently. Dad hollers. Mom screams. Dad raises his voice. They dash back and fourth. Excuses, excuses. We cry. They throw things. There is a silence amoung us. We escape to the stillness of our rooms. But we can hear them. We can always hear them. No matter where they are. They frighten us. We take sides, though we have nothing to do with it. We run outside when it gets too loud. All we want is silence. No screaming or crying or pain. The dog sometimes follows us. Never ending. We are scarred for live. Never ending, until dark. Both left for us to fend for ourselves. We cry ourselves to sleep. There is silence.
