  an apple picked by soft moonlight and given to one you love…
those for whom we care so much are gifts from God above.
a perfect gentle spirit, a tender heart so dear;
these are things i see in you and make me want you near.
i wish that i could be for you all that you desire,
but even though i’m not, my heart still burns with love like fire.
i feel a passion deep within; not lust, but strangely pure.
it is a mortal, cruel disease for which i find no cure.
and so i’ll love you from afar, for you’ll not see in me
a life companion, so i’ll go my way, my life love be.
