Arrogant dragons who seriously annoy their ladies-of-choice... Who knew? This series of Shelley Laurenston's is frequently fall out of your chair funny...

Correct order is not extremely important, but you will be missing some of the subplots if you read them out of order. Of course, that gives you an excuse to read them again...

I so adore my arrogant dragons, and Briec the Mighty is no disappointment! Aiken's characters are vibrant and easy to love. She does such a wonderful job of painting them, that you become attached and look forward to reading each one's story. Her humor is infectious:

"The large, round, and juicy fruit slammed into Gwenvael's head with unrelenting force. 'Ow! What was that for?' 'Accident,' she snarled."

"Fearghus's tail slapped him so hard in the snout, he actually saw stars for a moment. 'Ow! What was that for?' 'Accident.'"

"Reaching up, she grabbed one of his nipples and twisted. 'Ow! What was that for?' 'Accident,' she bellowed.."

Makes you giggle all the way through!

This book lost the "ahh" factor of book one. Humor is good. This book more sexual than the first, and less engaging story line. Plan to read book 3 as maybe author will revert to first book's writing style.

Just finished this book last night, and LOVED it!! THe dialogue between the hero and heroine kept me chuckling throughout the story, and I was hooked in no time. Going to try to collect the whole series now, and sorry, I wont be passing this book on. It will stay on my shelves.

The more I read on the better I love this series. These dragons are arrogant, devious, and hungry for fighting with the women that will be their mates.

Another good book by G.A. Aiken. Not as good as her first installment in the series, but still a good read.

Talaith is a Nolwenn witch. Her life has been of much sorrow and little happiness. Her past isn't clear when you begin this story. Her past is slowly reveled throughout the book. The story begins when Talaith is awakened by being dragged from bed by an angry mob intent burning her alive for being a witch. She is rescued by a silver-maned dragon, Brice the Mighty,. According to dragon law, Talaith is now his property, for pleasure... or otherwise. A blood dept that can never be paid. But if Lord Arrogance thinks she's the kind of damsel to acquiesce without a word, he's in for a surprise... \

Briec the Mighty knew the moment he laid eyes on Talaith that she would be his, but he'd counted on tongue-lashings of an altogether different sort. Since the very first moment they meet she's made it clear that she does not want him. Her high spirited nature, argumentative streak and hidden secrets are what draw's him to her and it's the combination that keeps him enthralled. The only problem is, she doesn't want to stay...... or does she?????? Her secrets may be the problem and let's just say.... she can't keep hiding them forever....
