Adrian A. Husain is a Pakistani poet of the English language. He received a Ph.D. in English literature and his thesis was on Shakespeare, Machiavelli, and Castiglione. His poetry has been published in the United States and the United Kingdom in addition to his native Pakistan. In 1968 he won the Guinness Poetry Prize. He often writes articles in the Dawn and other newspapers. His anthology Desert Album (ISBN 0-19-577809-X) was published by Oxford University Press.
Husain has been called the finest Pakistani poet writing in English. He has said that he aspires to write verse that transcends time and space, rather than specifically Pakistani ethnic poetry.
