So I finished Shutdown finally....  I really struggled through it....  The ending was good though.

And I guess I wasn't fast enough...My son finished Divergent so he snagged Insurgent from me (I'm only 1/2 way through it).  But I was willling to give it up to him because he DOES NOT READ and he had Divergent in his hands constantly for the last week.  Was quite a pleasure to see him so absorbed in a book.

I just finished Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly which was wonderful.  The story is about a young woman who feels so guilty about the death of her little brother she was supposed to be accompanying in his walk to school that she herself contemplates suicide several times.  I recommend this one.  Her saving interest is music as she is a talented musician.  Liked The Cat's Table by Michael Ondaatje also.  What a delightful idea to use a trip as a young boy for the thread throughout a novel because the experiences and people he met affected his later life!  Also finished Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs.  It's supposedly biographical.  Hard to believe that anyone's life can be that disfunctional!  Just finished The Yanti by Christopher Pike, an interesting fantasy

finished FIRST LOVE by James Patterson in the car today.  It was OK...  I can't even say what it's compared to or it will give away the ending...

Do I start Walking Disaster next or  Chronicles of Nick:  Illusion tomorrow morning???

I am reading Killer Frost (Mythos Academy, Bk 6) :: Jennifer Estep. It is the last book in the series. I have heard Jennifer Estep may write spinoff series I hope she does. I enjoy this series.

Finished reading Losing Hope last night (read 1/2 of it in one sitting).  I almost think I enjoyed it more than Hopeless, even though I knew all the twists and turns already since it was just Holder's viewpoint.

I'm 1/2 way through Walking Disaster on audiobook and have Dangerous Creatures as an electronic ARC I think I'm going to start...can't wait to read Link and Ridley's story!

finished Walking Disaster last night.  Enjoyed it a lot...Liked Travis' POV even more than Abby's.

Started listening to The Tragedy Paper by Elizabeth Laban this morning.  Anyone else read it?  It sucked me in from the beginning already...

SO  it's more New Adult than YA...Coming of Age but i enjoyed Sophie Jordan's FOREPLAY a lot.  Had a very similar feel to LOSING IT by Cora Carmack which i absolutely adored!

Nah Val, I've just been reading a few murder thrillers this month. Been in a YA slump. I just started The Chaos of Stars. Its completely different than I anticipated. Its a little confusing in the beginning.

I just finished Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller...it is not a typical book I would gravitate towards but it was so great I couldn't put it down.

Finished The Chaos of Stars. I didn't like the beginning because I felt like she introduced everything on a confusing way. I did however like it by the time I finished it. Had the beginning been better, I would have loved it.
