Barry Meadow is a professional gambler, blackjack player and author with more than 30 years experience in the gambling community. He is best known for his books on horse racing. He has authored multiple books on the subject, including Money Secrets at the Racetrack, Success at the Harness Races, and Professional Harness Betting. Meadow has also written about other gambling topics including the 1999 Blackjack Autumn: A True Tale of Life, Death, and Splitting Tens in Winnemucca which details his quest to play blackjack in every casino in Nevada.
His gambling booklets include Players Guide To Nevada Racebooks,Secrets Of The Pick 6, and Crushing the Internet Casinos. Currently a columnist for American Turf Monthly, he has also written articles for various general-interest publications including Sports Illustrated.
He appeared in the 2007 feature documentary, Players: Blue Collar Gambler.
Meadow also founded Master Win Ratings, a service that tracks and ranks racehorses in California, and he has established his own publishing company called TR Publishing. For seven years (1996-2003), he published the newsletter Meadow's Racing Monthly which featured investigative articles and original database research about handicapping. He has also written outside the gambling genre including work for television sitcoms.
