I LOVE this series. I have read them out of order, but have enjoyed each one I have read. I can't wait to finish them all. A quick read but very enjoyable.

Ongoing China Bayles Herb Shop series. A frantic phone call from China's mom brings China back to her family's Mississippi plantation. A bit "deeper" than the series usually goes.

From the China Bayles series. China is a past high-powered attorney who now owns her own herb shop. This is the best book of the series so far as cina goes back to her Mississpi homeland.

A frantic phone call from her mother brings China back to her family's Mississippi plantation-a place she'd forsaken long ago. But the late-spring air is thick with fear-and from the moment of her arrival, China knows that something has gone deperately wrong at Jordan's Crossing. An ancient property deed has surfaced-and the man who has uncovered it has mysteriously vanished. And as the fates and fortunes of two very different families collide in frightening, unpredictable ways, China must face disturbing new questions about her family's past-and her own future...

Another good entry in the China Bayles series. This one takes us away from Texas to China's ancestral home.

I love this whole series. This one is just as good as the others. If you love mystery series, I would suggest you start reading this series but start with the first one.

Long and stuffed with lots of excess. Pared down it could be retitled China Bayles Has One More Question a la the middle grade book Effie Starr Zook Has One More Question

My second book by this author. The first was better...this was a little too complicated and "woo-woo" (too much supernatural stuff). How come she always has at least one character who is gay/lesbian? Does that add a single thing to the plot? Not really and superfluous as if she wants that crowd to "approve" of her books? I doubt whether I'll read any more of her books.
