I'm not usually one to follow the new release lists, but a bunch of my favorite authors have books coming out this year and I'm so excited!  Anyone have any books their waiting for in 2009?

Dexter by Design by Jeff Lindsay, 4th Dexter mystery coming in August http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780385518369-Dexter+by+Design+A+Novel

Fool by Christopher Moore, one of my favorite humor writers, coming in February http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780060590314-Fool

a new Mary Russell mystery, The Language of Bees by Laurie R King coming in April http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780553804546-The+Language+of+Bees+Mary+Russell+Bk+9

Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde, coming in July http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780670019632-Shades+of+Grey+Painting+by+Numbers+Bk+1

Yes, definitely...topping the list:

A Dance With Dragons by George R.R. Martin should have been out already, but I'm hoping for '09, ha!

Valor's Trial by Tanya Huff is coming out in MMPB in June (The hardcover is out, but I haven't seen it, and I prefer MMPB size anyway).  I believe she has a book called The Enchantment Emporium coming out in June as well.

I think there are new books coming out in several series I'm reading: Stardoc, by S.L. Viehl, Anita Blake by LKH, and Weather Warden by Rachel Caine...but I have plenty of time since I haven't gotten through the series yet.

Other than that, it seems like not much is going on with my favorite authors.

I think almost all of my favorite authors have books coming out this year, Charlaine Harris has another Sookie book, and hopefully another Harper Conelly book sometime this year.  One I'm really looking forward to is another installment in Carrie Vaughn's Kitty series, "Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand"

Is there another Sookie book coming out in 09?  That's be awesome, but I didn't see anything when I searched on amazon for upcoming releases, is there any information on it?

Yeah!  I'm so glad to hear Echo in the Bones has a release date! I just hope it doesn't get pushed back as some of Diana Gabaldon's books have in the past.  She has mentioned a couple times on her website that Amazon tends to create release dates for her books out of thin air.

I'm excited about "The White Queen" by Philippa Gregory--among many, many others.
