Search - Charmed to Death (Ophelia and Abby, Bk 2)

This is a really good series! In this one, Ophelia must try to solve a murder that occurred 5 years before, without much input from her grandmother, Abby. Ophelia's best friend Brian was killed in Iowa City and to move forward, she confronts former Detective Henry Comacho and finds there is much more to this man than she thought. And, of course, she helps solve Brian's murder.

This is the second in a great semi-cozy series about a very reluctant witch. Ophelia and her Grandmother, Abby are Witches by inheritance - the family "gift" Ophelia never asked for nor wanted.
But despite all her naysaying, bodies keep turning up around Ophelia often enough to call unwanted attention to herself.
Five years ago her best friend, Brian, was murdered and butchered and now the killer is reaching out for Ophelia - and Abby knows that her Granddaughter will have to do most of the investigations without her help. Henry Camacho is still sniffing around because he has no belief in co-incidence - he knows Ophelia has something up her sleeve and he won't rest until the truth is revealed. The author has a really good way with words and her series seems to be building well and believably.(Is that a word?) I find her repeating characters to be believable - they don't feel like just two-dimensional cut outs. I really recommend this book and the first one in the series: "Witch Way To Murder".

Ophelia is becoming more comfotable with her powers and a good mistery to boot. A little predictable but an interesting read.

Book 2 in Ophelia and Abby. An what a great book. Keeps you guessing right up to the end. A fun read

Ophelia and her grandmother, Abby, are working to refine her psychic powers while trying to discover the identity of a murderer. The story has several subplots and twists as the two witches use their magick in their battle against evil forces surrounding them.

A second of the Abby and Ophelia mysteries. Abby is a witch and so is Ophelia, but she wishes she wasn't.
