Good young adult book. Dicey and the other Tillermans from Homecoming show up in this book as well.

Mina Smiths, a black girl from Maryland, wins a scholarship to a dance camp in Connecticut. She's so excited by all she learns that even after going home, her imagination keeps her in Connecticut.

The next summer she returns to camp, but things are not the same. For the first time Mina is aware she's the only black girl there, and her former friends treat her differently.
