A man stumbles into an alternate world after chasing after the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, and must figure out the new rules of his existence. Wolfe's creativity and masterful use of language are still evident, but the story lags a little. Still worth a read.

Gene Wolfe is best known for his sci-fi fantasy work. This novel is the story of a man who falls for a goddess from an alternate universe, and the result is not quite the romantic comedy you might otherwise expect.
