Emma Jones is an Australian poet and writer. Her first poetry collection, The Striped World, was published by Faber & Faber in February 2009.
Jones was born in Sydney to an Australian father and English mother. She studied at MLC School and at the University of Sydney, where she graduated as a Bachelor of Arts Honours Class 1 (English) and received the University Medal in 2001. She holds a PhD in English Literature from Trinity College, Cambridge.
Jones was appointed the poet-in-residence at the Wordsworth Trust in Grasmere, Cumbria from July 2009 until June 2010.
