Search - Evergreen (Werner Family, Bk 1)

This is the first Belva Plain book I have ever read. I enjoyed it very much and I plan on reading her other books too. The story moved very quickly but it did start to get long towards the end. All in all though the story and all the family members were interesting. I liked how each chapter was from the viewpoint of a different family member--I esp. liked Anna's chapters. They all dealt with a lot of hardships over the years. The ending made me a little teary eyed.

A wonderful book by Belva Plain that follows the life of an immigrant woman's loves, family fortunes and a century's hopes and tragedies.

This is what you would expect from Plain. A good story in an easy to read, entertaining style.
