Do I have to pay for books? I noticed that I pay for shipping to send my books to others. Now, when I find a book does that sender pay for the shipping and one of my credits gets deleted? I am a lttle confused on how the whole "fees & credits" work. |

Welcome to PBS! When you send out one of your books to another member, you get a credit. You can use that credit to order a book from another member. It doesn't cost you anything but a credit to order a book from somebody. The only thing you have to pay when you send a book is the postage, unless you buy delivery confirmation and/or postage from the site. I use the PBS postage because I hate going to the post office, and also I get my credit as soon as I mark the book mailed instead of having to wait until my book is received by the other member. |

Welcome to PBS Rachel! No, your only cost is postage when you mail a book to another PBS member. When the book is received, the other member notes it as received and the PBS system automatically transfers a credit to your account. There are no costs when you request a book (using credits). You just request, and the book should arrive in your mailbox! That's the basics. There are some variables with fees that involve using unsite postage, and Delivery Confirmation. Unfortunately, USPS has made a mess of the DC only option...something got messed up with the postal rate increase. So the DC only option is not functional right now (for all venders nationwide) except for what is purchased at the post office counter. Last Edited on: 2/4/13 3:45 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Welcome to PBS! Please peruse the Help Docs, they will tell you all about the site. Of course we love to answer questions, too, but starting with a few Help Docs should help you with the basics. Here is the beginning: I just joined. Where do I start? |

Sara sez: << the DC only option is not functional right now>> This is no longer true -- the problem with PBS DC was fixed last week. ;-) Welcome aboard, Rachel! |
