All I want for Christmas ... Since most of you probably have your two front teeth...

Use this thread to post the list of books that you most want from your 2013 HF Secret Santa. Please list a range of choices (between 5 and 10 books) -- include title, author, and binding (e.g., hard-cover, paperback, Kindle, Nook). Books do NOT have to be HF and do NOT have to be on your PBS WL.  You probably do not want to list books that are likely to get posted to you within the next couple of months.

Please post your list by November 8th 3rd (changed because there are always some impatient eager Secret Santas who want to shop as soon as they get their assignments). I will send out friendly (and maybe, not-so-friendly) reminders. As we know from previous years, book orders sometimes take awhile to be processed, or sometimes completely fail to be processed.

Also, please list any allergies to smoke and/or pet hair that you want your Secret Santa to be aware of.

Compiling my list but actually, anything on my WL would be fine and any binding is fine - including Kindle books.

Okay - right out of the chute - don't get me any "things". At my age I have plenty and you don't need to spend the postage. Let's focus on BOOKS and if you can get Kindle books - hooray! You then save postage!!!

Here are my most wanted (but not in any particular order - except the first one - lol)

Nor Will He Sleep (Inspector McLevy, Bk 4) :: David Ashton

Season of Storms :: Susanna Kearsley:

Seven for a Secret :: Lyndsay Faye

The Sleeping Partner (Sarah Tolerance, Bk 3) :: Madeleine E. Robins

When the Devil Drives (Liberty Lane, Bk 4) :: Caro Peacock

The Cockroaches :: Jo Nesbo

The Eagle Unbowed: Poland and the Poles in the Second World War :: Halik Kochanski

The Piccadilly Plot (Thomas Chaloner, Bk 7) :: Susanna Gregory

50 More Crocheted Afghan Borders (Leisure Arts, No 4531) :: Jean Leinhauser

Bloody Lessons (Victorian San Francisco, Bk 4) :: M. Louisa Locke

Shadow of the Alchemist (Crispin Guest Medieval Noir, Bk 6) :: Jeri Westerson

Did I go over my limit of 10? Well...that's okay - just pick and choose and believe me - one book would be great! Never mind the binding!

I am mostly reading from my Kindle so ebooks would be appreciated. I have been trying for a couple of days to make a list.  Too many books, so little time as you all know.  I am currently re-reading the Outlander series in anticipation of the new book coming out soon.  I have the first 3 books already so any of the remaining books would be super. They are:

4. The Drums of Autumn (1996)
5. The Fiery Cross (2000)
6. A Breath of Snow and Ashes (2005)
7. An Echo in the Bone (2009)

Also, I really want to start the Game of Thrones series next and I do not have any of those yet. Any of those ebooks would be wonderful too.  And then there are those on my wish list....sigh...

I am always looking for new authors to read so if my Secret Santa has an all time favorite book they would love to share...awesome!

THANK YOU!

I'd love ANY of the books on my wishlist, any binding, but most of them are scarce and/or expensive.  I've wish listed every version of the Sutcliff's books I don't already have, and I'd faint if someone could find one in the range our price limit!  For some more reasonably available:

Genghis: Bones of the Hills: A Novel :: Conn Iggulden

Taking Liberties :: Diana Norman

Legate's Daughter :: Wallace Breem

Queen of Swords :: Judith Tarr

Arthur the King ("The Dark Ages" Trilogy) :: Allan Massie

King's Man by Angus Donald

Hi Jeanne! Thank you. :) It's been a long time, indeed. I've kinda had to re-invent my routine/life this past year and I'm still trying to figure it out. ;) I'm excited about the Secret Santa exchange. I didn't want to miss it and am glad I got in right in time. Gotta figure out my wish list now. I have no clue what's new out there, so lots of catching up to do this week! :)
