Use this thread to post the list of books that you most want from your 2012 HF Secret Santa. Please list a range of choices (between 5 and 10 books) -- include title, author, and binding (e.g., hard-cover, paperback, Kindle, Nook). Books do NOT have to be HF and do NOT have to be on your PBS WL.  You probably do not want to list books that are likely to get posted to you within the next couple of months.

Please try to post your list by the second week of November. I will send out friendly (and maybe, not-so-friendly) reminders. As we know from previous years, book orders sometimes take awhile to be processed, or sometimes completely fail to be processed.

Whether you're a newbie or a grizzled forum veteran, please feel free to tell us about yourself, how you celebrate the holidays, and/or your deepest, darkest secrets or most embarrassing moments (if you don't want to share these publicly, you can PM me in private -- I won't telldevil).

ETA: Also, please list any allergies to smoke and/or pet hair that you want your Secret Santa to be aware of.

Anything from my wish list would be appreciated, thanks so very much.

I have a Kindle and a Nook, I would love to get a gift card from either of those places.

I prefer paper books, as these are keepers, but I don't care whether new, used, or what binding type.

Holy Warrior by Angus Donald

The Silver Eagle by Ben Kane

A Bloody Field by Shrewsbury by Edith Pargeter

Devil Water by Anya Seton

Doc by Mary Doria Russell

Towers of Midnight by Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan

Books on Linda's most wanted list are:

City of Women, David Gillham

Code Name Verity, Elizabeth Wein

The Secret Keeper, Kate Morton

Winter of the World, Ken Follett

Season of Storms, Susanna Kearsley

The Wild Rose, Jennifer Donnelly

Blood Feud, Rosemary Sutcliff

Illuminations, Mary Sharratt

Sandcastle Girls, Chris Bohjalian

Any binding is okay - we know a couple of these are older books, so MMPB may be all that is available. Our first choice is oversize soft-covers.

We are going to borrow Jeanne's comment - please nothing else, so everything can go media mail.

Thanks, Secret Santa! We're already excited!

Kelly's most wanted list include (in no particular order):

The Mevrouw Who Saved Manhattan, Bill Greer

On the Wrong Track, Steve Hockensmith

The Darkening Glass, Paul Doherty

Duty to the Dead, Charles Todd

In Need of a Good Wife, Kelly McNees

Semper Fidelis, Ruth Downie

What Darkness Brings, C.S. Harris

Elegy for Eddie, Jacqueline Winspear

Rome: The Emperor's Spy, M.C. Scott (aka Manda Scott)

Neither Mom nor I has stepped into the E-Book world yet, so print copies only for us. While we prefer softcover, HC or MMPB is okay as well.

We are going to borrow Jeanne's comment - please nothing else, so everything can go media mail.

Thanks, in advance, Secret Santa! I know you're going to treat me great!

I'm from NYC.  I am currently owned by a 6 year old Wheaten Terrier named Jezabel and a cockatiel named Nemo.  I love to write, sceenplays mostly, but I am (pathetically) attemptng to write a HF novel at the moment.  My dream is to buy a villa in Tuscany and live the good life :)  (This villa will have a vineyard, where I will make my own wine.  There will also be a ridiculous number of rooms available, so everyone can visit and sample said wine!)

Wow! How did I find this so late, it appears!  My spot!

Anything from my WL is fine and any binding is fine (even Kindle - my e-mail addy is on my profile) - go with the least expensive. Many of my WL books have not been released yet, but of those that are, here are some that I would really like to have:

Don't want anyone to come after me with the wet noodle, so here's my list:

The Champion by Elizabeth Chadwick

No One Is Here Except All of Us by Ramona Ausubel

Until Thy Wrath Be Past by Asa Larsson

Amelia Earhart's Daughters by Leslie Haynsworth

Disco for the Departed by Colin Cotterill

The Secrets of Mary Bowser by Lois Leveen

England's Mistress: The Infamous Life of Emma Hamilton by Kate Williams

Lionheart by SKP

The Greatest Knight by Elizabeth Chadwick

That said, anything on my WL is a-okay by me. No preference to binding type--the cheaper the better! cheeky

No allergies, unless you for some reason plan on including some fresh-cut grass clippings in the package.

Whew...*slides into the thread.  Where have I been??!

Okay, here goes:  For the most part, I don't care about binding or condition or anything.  If I list a version (pb or Kindle) I would prefer that, but if no version is listed, that means CHEAPEST.

1.  A Place Beyond Courage, by EC---Kindle please!

2.  Out of Oz, by Gregory Maguire--Paperback please!

3.  Frozen Stiff by Mary Logue

4.  The Salisbbury Manbuscript, by Philip Gooden

5.  What Angels Fear, by C.S. Harris

6.  From Eternity to Here, by Sean Carroll

7.  Boudica, by Vanessa Collingridge

8.  Revenger, by Rory Clements

9.  The Durham Deception, by Philip Gooden

10.  Anything on my WL that's not listed here would be lovely! smiley
