I read this book after having decided to take a break from romances for awhile. "It's In His Kiss" was a very satisfying return to the historical romance genre for me. I had been a tad bit disappointed with a few of the previous books in the Bridgerton series but this one delivered. I thoroughly enjoyed the witty interaction between Hyacinth and Gareth - and Lady Danbury...what a hoot! Many laugh-out-loud moments combined with some quite touching scenes make for a very enjoyable read.

I look forward to reading Gregory's story in the future.

Laugh out loud funny several times. The things the characters think are hilarious and some of the conversations are hysterical as well.

This book was an utter delight. Hyacinth is a charming character, stubborn and witty and a lot of fun, and Gareth is all those things too. This is a wonderful and delightful love story, full of banter and charm, but it's also a book about family and family relationships, and I love it to death!

7th book in the Bridgerton series. Fun and witty with a bold heroine and a badly played concert Set things in motion for a wonderful story.

Better than I thought it would be! The sassy heroine is a switch from the moony threatened heroines of the gothics or the typical romance novel, and the hero manages to be tormented and funny at the same time. Neat trick.

Hyacinth is very different from her siblings...very much a free spirit. Lady Danbury introduces Hyacinth to her nephew, a man who estranged from his father and is hiding some things about his past. He asks Hyacinth to help him translate his grandmother's diary, not knowing what it is going to say about the past. This was an enjoyable book, but I didn't think it was as good as the others in the Bridgerton series.

I so enjoyed this book. The sparkling dialogue made me laugh out loud...I mean with actual belly laughs...and I read it one sitting. Of course, it had it's romantic moments, (nicely steamy, not overly so), and the requisite dashing suitor, secret, and mystery. What more could you ask for from a period romance novel?

After reading so many of this series, I am involved with the entire family. The author puts just enough sadness, along with lots of love and humor that it feels like a real family.

Another classic featuring the youngest of the Bridgerton family. As always Julia Quinn has a great story line, interesting characters enough humor and romance to make this a quick read you won't want to put down til the end! You don't need to read the other books in this series before you read this one but if you haven't yet you will definitely want to!

Another excellent Bridgerton romance from Julia Quinn. I love the characters, pacing and wit of these books, and I can't wait to read them all! You'll find yourself rooting for the happy-ever-after, despite the pitfalls along the way.

Gareth St. Clair is in a bind. His father, who detest him, is determined to beggar the St. Clair estates and ruin his inheritance. Gareth's sole bequest is an old family diary, which may or may not contain the secrets of his past...........and the key to his future. The problem is....it's written in Italian, of which Gareth speaks not a word. Read once.

Book 7 in an 8 book series. It is not necessary to read them in exact order as each book is about one of the Bridgerton family children finding love and marriage in the 1800's in London.

I loved this series--each book was different, wonderfully funny and romantic.

Fun, lighthearted read. This is the first Bridgerton book I've read, it was fine out of sequence - just made me want to go back and read the first six books. My only complaint is that Hyacinth is repeatedly described as extremely intelligent but she never says or does anything that demonstrates her genius. I felt like Julia Quinn told us but didn't show us.

This book is one of Julia Qinn's best. The hero is Gareth St Clair, a handome as sin but with issues with his father. He meets Hyacinth Bridgerton, the youngest of the famed Bridgerton siblings---she's smart and outspoken and not your average heroine. There's an interesting mystery plot which centers on a diary written in Italian with clues that may lead to a treasure trove of diamonds.

Meet our heroine...
All the ton agreed: there was no one quite like Hyacinth Bridgerton. She's fiendishly smart, devilishly outspoken, and according to Gareth, probably best in small doses. But there's something about her - something charming and vexing - that grabs him and won't quite let go...
Meet poor Mr. Mozart...
Or don't. But rest assured, he's spinning in his grave when Gareth and Hyacinth cross paths at the annual - and annually discordant - Smythe-Smith musicale. To Hyacinth, Gareth's every word seems a dare, and she offers to translate his diary, even though her Italian is slightly less than perfect. But as they delve into the mysterious text, they discover that the answers they seek lie not in the diary, but in each other...and that there is nothin as simple - or as complicated - as a single, perfect kiss.
