Great read -- this is the first of Jan Burke's books I've read, and I am now eager to read all of her Irene Kelly series. Well written, and a real page-turner.

A great selection of short stories, including some well-deserved award winners, the first Irene Kelly short story, and a follow-up to "Bones." Good reading, especially for commuting.

A good read, with an unexpected ending. Too many different plots going on simultaneously, but still enjoyable. _Ridiculously_ small print, however, in the paperback edition.

Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything (Freakonomics, Bk 1)
Review Date: 8/25/2005
Helpful Score: 5

Absolutely fascinating, well written and entertaining -- which is saying a lot, given that I tend to twitch uncontrollably when I hear the term "economics." Levitt has the ability to pull together what seem to be completely disparate concepts -- things that no one else have seen -- and have them make sense. (For example, his chapter on why crack dealers still live at home with their mothers - brilliant!)

Another delightful read from Julie Q, this time focusing on the irrepresible Hyacinth Bridgerton and her romance with Lady Danbury's grandson Gareth. Witty and well written, as always.

A classic for any young person going through the horse phase (and haven't we all?).

Standard Lindsey, but worth getting just for the hilarious inside cover painting -- an excessively tanned (and still beady-eyed) Fabio, wearing nothing but a strategically-placed, excessively pale, highly nubile maiden.

Classic stories of epidemiology from a master. If you were a fan of the series "Medical Investigation," you'll recognize some of the stories.
