Gosh, I was almost ready to skip this one because Burrowes is so prolific, I can't keep up. But then I read the blurb with the plot setup, and I'm hooked!

And then the titles themselves within a series can be so similar it's easy to confuse them, too, until you realize too late that, no, you hadn't put yourself on the WL and now you're #99!

There finally is an ISBN number for the beginning of the Nimway Hall Series.. Sorry I don't know how to do the link..
The Legend of Nimway Hall 1750 Jacqueline - Volume 1
Author: Stephanie Laurens     9781925559095

The Nimway Hall series is a multiple author series. Stephanie Laurens is the first author.  There are no ISBN's for them until about a week before the publish date. The following titles don't have a print ISBN .....YET....  Unfortunately these are just the Kindle links but this way you can put the titles on your radar to go back and get the print ISBN's when they come out.

Just an fyi, I noticed a new Jane Ashford book on Amazon, called "Brave New Earl" but couldn't find it on PBS. Then I figured out that it's still listed here as "The Loveless Lord", and I already had it on my Wishlist. I guess they changed the title, but the ISBN matches.

Hi Karin,  Thanks for that info on Jane Ashford's new book and start of a new series from what I read.  I have 4 of Jane's books from her Duke's Sons series but haven't read them yet.  Before I start adding new books to my TBR shelves, tell me what you think of her writing.

My TBR spreadsheet list numbers 870 titles waiting to be read.  That number includes titles in anthologies.  That adds to stories to be read but not the total number of books which would be a lesser number.  So, I'm not really sure if I want to add to the heap...unless the read is really worth my time, so to speak.

I do like the Duke's Son's, it's about a family with 6 sons. The first book, "The Bargain" is one of my favorites, it has a lot of humor in it. You may not see it listed as part of the series, because I think she wrote it a long time ago and then went back and wrote books about the other brothers. So that one is a good test to see if you like her writing. I've read 3 more of that series, haven't gotten around to the last 2. I enjoyed "Heir to the Duke" and "Lord Sebastian's Secret"(another hero with dyslexia!), but I thought "What the Duke Doesn't Know" was kind of silly.

I've also read a couple of her stand-alone books, First Season/Bride To Be, a 2-in-1 volume, was good(I reviewed it here), The Marchington Scandal was so-so.

They're fairly "clean" romances, some lovemaking but nothing too graphic. Ashford started out writing Signet Regencies so her quality of writing is good, no historical bloopers!  Overall, it's entertaining light reading, nothing too angsty.

Hi Karin;  Thanks for your information about Jane Ashford's books and style of writing.  I have 4 books on my TBR shelf with 1 book on my books-to-buy list.  I don't have The Bargain and don't recall ever reading it.  Might have to scout that one down.  Thanks again for your views.

Thanks, Vicki. I used to read all of Suzanne Enoch's books but somehow lost track of her in recent years. The blurb for this one sounds intriquing,

I put it on my Wishlist.

I think I'll pass on this one.  It sounded like a interesting premis...one book by each of 6 authors, each writing a story set in the same place but a different time period.  I have way too many books to read now...don't really need to add more.  Not to mention the fact that I've been stung before with something like this and it was a bust.

I still have oodles of books by Suzanne Enoch on my TBR shelves.  Really need to get in there and read some of those but I always find something newer that pulls me away from SE.  Soon, I promise!
