I am very taken with this cookbook. It makes you like Dorothy Letterman. The recipes are fabulous. There are many recipes in it I have always wanted to make but thought they were too hard. Not so. Let's face it, Mrs. Letterman is a wonderful cook. She appears to be a fantastic Mom too. (I'm not particularly a Dave Letterman fan - I like him OK, but not a fan.) There are folksy tidbits in it about the recipes and Dave, and his childhood. If you like to cook, or like cookbooks - you WOULD like this cookbook. Possibly, it goes without saying that a Letterman fan would LOVE the book too!

I really enjoyed this book. It has down home simple recipes like your grandmother would make if your grandmother was a young woman in the 1950's or so. Just fun.

Great cookbook, and especially fun if you're a David Letterman fan. His mom has included lots of family photos and shares stories.
