It was a good book overall. It didn't keep my attention very good the first twenty pages or so, but after that, I couldn't put it down!

Another Arthur Hailey book that weaves fiction around the facts of dealing in business. This time it is a hotel manager and his "typical" day that shows one crisis after another with which he must deal. The book was made into a movie, but don't think that if you have seen the movie, you don't need to read the book. It is actually different in many ways and just as enjoyable.

Haley is the master of parallel plots that all intersect at once near the end of the book with devastating impact. I have read all of his novels and this one and Airport are definitely the best. Highly recommended. I rarely give 5 stars but this book deserved it.
