This is one of Arthur Hailey's finest books in which he details some of the intricasies of dealing with everyday functions of an airport. Several "situations" interweave their way through the book and all combines for fascinating reading. Though fiction, the book is based on real fact about airport operations.

Lots of action, easy to follow; did not care for the evolutionary theme.

Good mystery, the text is somewhat mundane, not gripping like some novels and writers. but overall -- enjoyable.

Typical style like Mary Higgins Clark. Jumps around, but keeps you guessing. Great suspense.

Another Arthur Hailey book that weaves fiction around the facts of dealing in business. This time it is a hotel manager and his "typical" day that shows one crisis after another with which he must deal. The book was made into a movie, but don't think that if you have seen the movie, you don't need to read the book. It is actually different in many ways and just as enjoyable.

Star rating 1.5 starsI did not like this book. In fact, I did not finish it because it concentrated too much on murders and murderers. Gruesome! I like murder mysteries, but this was over-the-top.

There was a lot of humor but I frankly had a little trouble following because of the expressions or language or something. It took a lot of concentration to catch the humor.

This was very good. I always rate my books on a scale of 1-10, 10 being best. I rated it 7 which means I would read it again but it didn't keep me "glued to my seat". It was about a murder but was not a "whodunit". Good descriptions.
