Not really the type of book I generally like. Someone recommended it to me at one time. If you like political fortay with all its scandal, power, corruption and romance this book is for you.

From the back cover..."Enter Francis Urquhart: With the Prime Minister in ferocious disfavor, Urquhart believes his time has come to occupy 10 Downing Street. The bad news is: there are other candidates with more valid claims to the office. The good news is: as Chief Whip, Urquhart possesses secrets that could destroy each and every one of them- scandalous secrets that he now wields as weapons of entrapment and betrayal. One by one, his powerful opponents drop by the wayside- until only one woman stands in his way."

I want to find an older untouched edition, not one that's been influenced by the changes made in the original miniseries.
