Phillip Quinn and Sybill Griffin have an interesting and often argumentative courtship. Sybill is a psychologist and a write which plays both for and against her in her dealings with the Quinns. Technically this is the conclusion and it does nicely close up the ongoing conflicts with the Quinn family. However, Nora Roberts surprised us all by writing a fourth book, about Seth, of course. As he has been the glue which held all three books together. I can't wait to jump into Chesapeake Blue

The final novel in this captivating trilogy of three brothers who have come tgether in a time of need. They honored their father's wish to raise young Seth as their own. And with all of the brothers home again, the Quinn family has never been so strong. But in the months to come, their strength is tested-once again...

Philip Quinn had done everything to make his life seem perfect. With his career on the fast tract and a condo overlooking the Inner Harbor, his life on the street was firmly in the past. But one look at Seth and he's reminded of the boy he once was...
Philip had intended to fulfill his father's dying request and considered Seth to be a duty. He never expeted he would grow to love Seth, and soon his promise to his father became more than just obligation. Seth's future as a Quinn seems assured-until a stranger arrives in town. She claims to be researcing St. Christopher's for her new book, but the true objects of study are the Quinns. Her cool reserve intrigues Phillip. He is determined to uncover her motives, but she is holding a secret that has the power to threaten the life the brothers have made for Seth. A secret that could tear the family apart...forever...

This series of books are about three boys who came from troubled homes and were taken in by the Quinns. Both the mother and the father have died and now they are responsible for a fourth boy that was taken in just before the father died. Reading about the abuse of these boys before they were taken in is really touching to see where they go with their lives. Really have enjoyed reading this series.

Book 3 in the Quinn Brothers Trilogy: Book 1 was Sea Swept, Book 2 was Rising Tides and Book 3 is Inner Harbor. A sequel was made to this trilogy entitled Cheasapeake Blue. This trilogy tells the story of the Quinn Brothers (Cam, Ethan & Phillip) trying to raise Seth and finding love for theirselves. Sea Swept is Cam's story. Rising Tides is Ethan's story. Inner Harbor is Phillip's story. Cheasapeake Blue tells Seth story and lets us see him all grown up. A great series!

I really thought that this book was very interesting and a very good read. You would really need to start at the beginning of the series to really understand what's going on. But nevertheless it was excellent.

Philip, the last unwed Quinn brother, juggling his high-powered advertising job and his newfound family duty of helping to care for his young adopted brother, Seth. When Dr. Sybill Griffin shows up in the sleepy town of St. Christopher, Philip makes room in his hectic schedule for the mysterious woman who stirs his senses and threatens to steal his heart. And while Sybill can't deny her own growing feelings for the charismatic Quinn, the secret connection to Seth that she hides may destroy any chance that the two young lovers have at happiness. Full of heartwarming familial moments, tender romance, and a touch of tension, Inner Harbor is an outstanding conclusion to a truly stunning trilogy.

Dr. Sybill Griffin, sociologist and renowned author, is on a mission. When her estranged sister Gloria DeLauter calls in hysterics, claiming that her 10 year old son Seth has been abducted by the Quinn family, Sybill doesnt know what to think.

In Glorias version of events, Seth was kidnapped, but Sybill knows that Gloria has a habit of lying. She resolves to find out the truth for herself. Traveling to St. Christophers under the pretext of writing a book, Sybill wanders by the Boats by Quinn warehouse and catches the eye of Phillip Quinn.

Between working in the city during the week and commuting back to St. Chris and the boat building enterprise on the weekends, Phillip doesnt have much time for socializing. Having a very attractive, bright woman walk in the front door might improve his social life immensely.

As she watches young Seth interact with the Quinn family, Sybill feels more and more guilty about deceiving them. Seth doesnt recognize her because they havent seen each other since he was 4 years old.

When Gloria returns, Sybills deception is revealed. Now she is not only faced with the potential loss of a relationship with her nephew, but the destruction of her burgeoning love affair with Phillip.

INNER HARBOR neatly wraps up the trilogy which outlined the lives and loves of the amazing Quinn family. Filled with passion, emotion and family loyalty, this novel will surely join the other two on your keeper shelf.

Phillip Quinn leads a busy life as a successful businessman in a PR firm in Baltimore. Every weekend he returns to his hometown to help care for the newest member of the Quinn family, Seth, and help his brothers with their new boat building enterprise. His private life has been put on hold until he meets Dr. Sybil Griffin, an anthropologist writing a book about small town life. He finds Sybil intriguing and wants to get to know her better. But Sybil has come to town for another reason. She has come to check on her nephew, Seth, to see if he is happy with the Quinns or if she should fight them to return Seth to her sister.

3rd book in Nora Roberts' Chesapeake Bay series. Excellent! This book gives us the truth about Seth's parentage and ties up some loose ends. I highly recommend this book...and the whole series. My rating: 5 Stars.

Inner Harbor, the highly anticipated close to the story of "the lives and loves of three brothers on the windswept shores of the Chesapeake Bay" that began in Sea Swept and Rising Tides, finds Philip, the last unwed Quinn brother, juggling his high-powered advertising job and his newfound family duty of helping to care for his young adopted brother, Seth. Cam was the speed-chasing playboy and Ethan the taciturn waterman. But former street hustler Philip Quinn was the stylish city dweller who took one look at Dr. Sybill Griffin and fell hard. Sybill made her mark in observational psychology, always ten paces back from the action. This time Philip wont let her avoid the fray. He finds Sybill attractive in ways he refuses to admit. When her relationship to his brother Seth is uncovered, Philip must reconcile his needs and hers with those of Seth. This final novel in the Quinn Brothers trilogy is equally as strong as the prior two (e.g., Rising Tides, Audio Reviews, LJ 11/1/98). Guy Lemonier is terrific at vocalizing Philip and particularly Sybill, whose cold, unemotional facade gives frosty new meaning. Roberts is at her best here, from the multifaceted characterizations to the carefully crafted plot twists. This, and the other titles in the series, are excellent additions to fiction collections.
